Walker Aggregates, who plays a major role in the aggregates industry, is set to expand operations at its McGregor Quarry, located adjacent to County Road 9 in Amherstburg, Ontario. The quarry, which has been actively extracting materials from the western side of the road, will soon begin operations on the eastern side as part of its growth strategy. To support this expansion, the company is constructing a vehicular access culvert under County Road 9, using the cut-and-cover method. This project involves cast-in-place foundation walls, topped with precast concrete arch sections, ensuring a sturdy and efficient connection between both sides of the quarry.
