Montreal’s iconic Olympic Stadium is entering a new era with one of the largest infrastructure revitalization projects in its history. As part of an $870-million modernization, the stadium’s aging retractable canvas roof is being replaced with a permanent rigid steel deck and technical ring, transforming the venue into a durable, year-round facility. Construction began in 2024 and is scheduled to continue through 2027, with the fully revitalized stadium expected to reopen in 2028.
