Leslie Bridge

Leslie Bridge
North York, Ontario, Canada

As part of a critical infrastructure upgrade, the reconstruction of the Highway 401 East Collectors Lane over Leslie Street is now underway. The project involves the complete demolition and rebuilding of the existing bridge, including new abutment walls, piers, pier caps, and bridge deck, all while maintaining live traffic flow on Leslie Street below. To support the demanding formwork requirements of the project, Brennan Paving turned to PERI for a reliable and adaptable solution. The scope included formwork for uniquely shaped abutment walls of varying heights and three pier caps, each with gradually increasing lengths, a challenge that required both technical expertise and design flexibility.

Project Information

"The site guys really liked the VPS system and said they’d use it again on a project with fewer site limitations. Even with the constraints, it just took them a bit of time to get comfortable with everything, but by the end of the project, they were using it as efficiently as it was meant to be.”
