Patina – YMCA, Vancouver, British Columbia
4 day cycle achieved using ACS in landmark 43 storey high condominium
Patina located in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, is a landmark 43 storey high, 818 m2 per level residence with 256 suites. To meet the 4 day pour cycle requirement of the jobsite, ACS self climbing formwork system was chosen to form the 9.60 m by 9.90 m core. The ACS P is a self-climbing formwork system with integrated working platform. The patented PERI hydraulic climbing mechanism raises the ACS unit to the next pour without the need of a crane. On the single sided parking level walls TRIO panels with SB brace frames and on the double sided walls MAXIMO panel wall formwork system was used.

“We chose ACS for this project to achieve a 4 day cycle and save crane time. The MAXIMO wall form was much faster than conventional wood gang form panels.”
